Torfaen Works

Torfaen Works can provide a tailored package of support to anyone living in and around Torfaen, whether they are unemployed or in employment. Support includes practical help with CV writing, interview practice, job searching, financial assistance to meet training costs and more. Candidates have access to a varied menu of wellbeing activities including mindfulness courses, Kundalini yoga, gym sessions, mountain hikes, cold water therapy, coffee mornings and more.

More activity information

  • Coffee Morning– A relaxed social group for candidates enrolled in Torfaen Works or those who wish to find out more about the project over a cup of tea. Held every Wednesday at Panteg House Social Club, Griffithstown, 10am-12pm.

 

  • Walking Group- A gentle walking group with a social focus. This group is for candidates enrolled in Torfaen Works or those who wish to find out more about the project whilst walking. Every Tuesday 1pm-2pm, alternating between Cwmbran, Pontypool and Talywain.

 

  • Mountain Hikes- Mountain hikes running throughout Bannau Brycheiniog and to Yr Eryri National Parks. Groups are tailored to individual ability varying from gentle scenic walks to more challenging excursions to North Wales. This activity is for Torfaen Works project candidates or those interested in enrolling with the project. Dates and locations vary seasonally.
